They are gambling the stuff that was not damaged plus the $4M spent on refurbishing what was damaged or destroyed against the odds of another hurricane washing over them. I think they have better odds in the lottery.

I have to agree with Edmond they should really thin about another location for the musuem that is less prone to flooding it may not be in the same area but the items in the musuem and the 4 million should be better protected

No more funding for Galveston, New Orleans or any other community potentially damaged by hurricanes, etc. It is tossing good money after bad. It’s time some reality comes into focus. The American taxpayer, and the American insurance payer cannot afford to carry these ill-planned communities. Pay today and pay tomorrow, because it will happen again!

I too am real concerned about the potential for more flooding, and hope they do something to protect their collection. But I do have to say that the 2 F7’s look great!
