i have a newer gantry crane. last night it started acting funny with the hoist line not moving up correctly. my question is how do you remove the roof of the cab. i believe a screw or something came loose. thanks

For the 185 Gantry Crane: (Should be similar to the newer cranes)

There are 2-screws on the rear underside of the crane house, and 2-additional screws at the front underside of the crane house that sit on slotted holes.

  1. Remove the 2-screws on the rear underside of the crane house.

  2. Lift the rear of the crane house up to clear the crane house base, and slide it forward so the screws on the front clear the slotted openings on the cranehouse base.

  3. Lift the crane house straight up to remove.
