Garden Railroad on T.V. Details inside!

Caught this over on MLS. Apparently on Sunday March 6, on the ABC network there is a show Extreme Makeovers. Check local listingsfor times.
Anyway as I understand it some family is getting a Garden Railroad as part of the makeover.
Ian are you ready for this?.. Lgb Gave stuff to them for their RR.

A blip below on LGB’s web site

Their should be more on garden rail roads on t.v., so people knows what it’s all about,
the train companys should put their products out their. ben[:)]

Ben, Your Right! I imagine there would be a boost in sales especially on starter sets if they advertised a little using a garden railroad to show the use of a train this big and where to put it. Bachmann or aristo could possibly pull it off, well Bachmann would have to something about that track of theirs to pull it off.

Did you know the local LGB Graden railway club here inaustralia has its own video and now a DVD featuring about 6 of some really good G scale railways?

Very interesting and I get it out every now and then and run it through and have a long look at what others have doen.

the sad thing about it is many of the really major tracks no longer in operation, people move, have misfortunes all sorts of sad and unfortunate experiences.

rgds ian

Ian, maybe you ought to send them some new footage of your RR. Especially after you nail the castle thing down in area 3.

Hey there,
Now that’s what I call a proper makeover! Hope I can catch the show on Sunday. They would have to shovel a lot of snow to be able to do that here. Off to the races. Later eh…Brian.

Thought I’d bring this back to the top since the show is on tomorrow night. The trains are actually mounted along the walls of the children’s playroom and bedroom.

So where was the trains. I only saw 2 milli seconds of them along the ceiling. Not a very good plug for LGB - Greg

WHAT A JOKE , not worth the watching . BEN

Watergardens also posted a plug for this,

Too Bad, sorry to here it was a bust. I almost watched this last night, maybe the behind the scenes show tonight will be a better plug for them.

Just an addeed comment…Too busy last night to see this by this. By the time I sat down at my workbench at 9pm I was flipping around, ended up on local PBS station 58 and what did I see?, “Yonder comes the train” a tv documentary on the UP Challenger!!! Whooohooo!!! looks like I got to see a way better show on a way better subject!!!

Vic, I guess you scored and we didn’t. That train went by so fast all I know it was an F? in Super Chief colors. I guess I missed tonights show didn’t get home till 8:30 p.m LONG DAY!

if you blink your eyes you missed the train setting, on the shelf. ben
