I won’t ask why you don’t get it any more. But its good to see you use the forum alot.
And the cost of LS, I say to mayself once and awhile as the train passes by, “there goes a grand”.

yea marty mum’s the word .
love to see your R R in person but my condition won’t let it happen. but love your pic’s

For those who don’t get GR or haven’t gotten it yet, I read the Q & A Steve’s talking about last night and it’s a pretty common sense straight forward answer. LS trains are bigger than HO, therefore they use more material to make. They are also larger and heavier to ship and since many shippers use both weight AND volume to calculate shipping costs, more of the cost of shipping has to tacked onto the final product. You can easily ship 20 HO Locomotives in the same space you can ship just one LS loco. The manufacturers can’t afford to pad their profits due to the competitive nature of the market, so the majority of the costs difference are related to material and shipping costs.

I read the piece, made sense to me, if this is true perhaps the question should be …

“Why is HO so [censored] expensive!!!”

[:O][;)][:P][%-)][X-)][D)][:-,][(-D][:-^]

i have all ways said why buy ho i can buy large scale for that price.
i know they dont have the room.
n is just as bad!

Train-me, WHY would you use this forum and NOT BUY the magazine, does not make sense to me?

danny
its a long story.

Hi all
The individual pieces may cost more but a 32,000 “N” gauge empire is a bit different to a 10,000 “G” scale one[:-,][swg]
I know which one gives me the most enjoyment because I still got the “G” in the garden,
the “N” went when I bought the garden for the trains oh! and a house just to keep domestic management happy.
regards John

Usually, the smaller it is the more expensive it is.Some of my son’s N gauge stuff is superb.Far better detail than G scale.
