We’ve closed up the house in Pinetop for the winter so not much outside work there for awhile. I bought some plans from Garden-Texture and built these two structures so far.
This is a 3 shut ore tipple I modified by building with 4-40 bolts and blind nuts. Next spring I’ll add the tressel to the mine elevator.

These next two pictures are of a grist mill. I’ll add the flume next spring when I install it near the town. Yes the water wheel works.

As I said I made these from plans. The lumber is from cedar fence pickets just like the helix was. My next project is a sand and water station.

Rex, Great looking buildings. I also have been working with plans from Garden Texture. In order to use the plans as a template, I have them enlarged to 1:20.3. Jack
I thought about changing the plans scale but I haven’t decided on a scale yet for the railroad. I have a bunch of buildings from my previous layout that I’ve been refurbishing and they are all different scales. As for the locos my Connie is 1:20 but I have several LGB 1:22. They look okay as long as they’re not too close to each other.
I’m thinking about bashing a Thomas the Train engine together from one of my older 0-4-0 LGBs. That should make the little kids happy. Has anyone done that and could offer any advice …
Thanks,
Rex
Man I sure do like the water wheel building!

Nice man. Great looking buildings.[tup]
Nice! My favorite is the ore bin. The NBW castings really look good.
NUT BOLT WASHER - OZARK MINATURES HAS THE BEST. BEEN USING THEM FOR YEARS.
