Not terribly surprised at the locomotive’s condition; of the grade collision videos I’ve seen, not even the handrails get damaged. I did expect more paint scratches though.
Well, it did fare better than the last LIRR crossing gaff that I posted.

It appears that the speed of the train was not great…the locomotive is not badly damaged and the train appears stopped within a very short distance. Apparently, judging from the pic of the loco that the train nipped the truck in the truck’s right front and not square to the whole…and the truck was probably not going too fast, either, but maybe was sliding or skidding on snow and ice, i.e. driving too fast for conditions and couldn’t stop. But that’s just my conjecture judging from the pictures.
