GE focuses on the Internet in annual report
GE medical uses internet connections to manage proprietary software for diagnostics and updates. There is a beneficial purpose in many regards. However, the proprietary software prevents owner or third-party maintenance without payment of extortionate license fees. Ultimately, “the internet of things” is not a good idea.
