Help! is there an easy method to remove the circuit board?
Pull it straight out of the socket. A DCC decoder replaces the circuit board. Or do you mean, what is an easy way to remove the board from the socket? A small bladed screwdriver can be inserted into the groove and gently twisted at each edge of the socket to slowly work the board loose enough to come out of the socket with a little pulling as you gently wiggle the board from one side to the other. The pins in the socket do fit rather tightly and it sometimes takes quite a bit of effort to get the plug out. Just be careful that you don’t move the board to one side or the other so much that you bend the pins inside the socket as you extract the board.
