…You’re mentioning of German steam locomotives with 4 cyl’s…reminds me of a German experimental steam locomotive right before WWII had EIGHT cyl’s…It was a V-8 configured machine. 4 driving axles each with a V arrangement of cyl’s.on the end of the axle and driving that axle hence a total of 8 cyl’s. configured in V arrangements. It did run over a hundred miles per hour in tests and was constructed with a streamlined external body.
