So I haven’t really been into this hobby for a while . But somehow my intrest just resparked itself . I’ve built HO layouts in the past . But due to space limitations I’ll prolly be swithcing to N . I have an uncle whose been building N scale layouts since the late 70’s and I do have a simple yet quality n scale train-set i bought a few years back . So I guess what I’m saying is wish me good fortune in my rediscovering my love of modelrailroading .
I hope it goes well for you, and that you have a good long run at it before you feel you must leave once again.

A word of advice from someone who’s been between layouts, but never really left:
Get something simple but interesting running quickly. When wheels are turning, the creative juices flow and interest remains high. Be aware that this is an interim project, not the end of the trail (although it won’t hurt if that first piece can be extended or incorporated into a larger layout later.)
When it comes to designing and building the dream railroad, make haste slowly. Take the time to think out what you want to model, and do the actual construction carefully. A little extra time up front will translate into a lot more satisfaction later.
