I just weathered my first loco and as I was examining the prototype, I noticed that it had ditch lights.
Now I’m pretty sure the Soundtrax decoder I just installed will not handle ditch lights. So what do I do?
I know Digitrax’s new sound units have a dedicated light decoder. Do I have to install a second or specialized decoder to get the ditch lights working. They do look cool.
As far as ditch lights go, they are one of the coolest adittions to any of my Locos, I don’t have a picture to post right now but you can take my word for it theyre well worth the time and money!!
Sorry no power in this shot, I’ll try to get one up later.
I thought the Soundtrax had all the options on them? Call Digitrax and ask. Anyone have a source for after market ditch lights?(HO) They all look pretty generic to me.
Chip,
I was going to respond to this this morning, but I was on my way out. Soundtraxx decoders(including
the LC) have Special FX lighting (I believe they call it Hyperlight Effects). Go to their site and download
the manual. It explains the lighting effects including ditch lights. Good luck, Dave
