This is the first day in over two weeks I have been able to get to this forum. I have no problems with any other web sites. When I click on the link I have, my browsers just grind away and eventually time out. does anyone else have this problem?
Clear your history and it should work. If you’re using Internet Explorer 10 or 11 add Trains.com to your compatibility list or you can log in through the Classic Toy Trains forum. They still have the old software (the one that works right). Failing you can use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. They both work OK.
Tried that, didn’t work.
I will try this. Was unaware of this feature
Tried to log in thru their site and it would do the same thing
Tried 3 different browsers over 4 different computers. All the same results
You might want to ask one of the moderators or send an IM to the Admin.
If you’re using IE11, the compatibility item is under “tools / compatibility”
“Tried 3 different browsers over 4 different computers. All the same results”
If you’re having the same problem on that many browsers across that many computers the problem is definitely on your end. The only browser I have a problem with is IE8, the highest IE I can run on this computer. It has a nasty habit of dropping tabs and then ‘recovering’ them while it crashes whatever I’m doing in the process. So I stopped using IE altogether and went with Firefox. You might check your firewall settings to see if that’s the problem.
I just do a Google search for model railroad forums and click on Model Railroader Magazine Forum and wa la, I’m here. That or I can click on the link in my email box and get here too. Like the old saying goes, where there’s a will there’s a way…
