Gevo and SD70M-2/ACe AC vs DC production

Which one of each series has the lions share of orders, the AC versions or DC versions. Think that GE and EMD will still be buildinjg new high HP six axle DC engines ten years from now, or will DC go the way of high HP four axle locos and the conventional crew cab? Can more be squeezed from DC in the future?

There is probably a decent mix of orders out there among the Class 1’s…NS rosters 138 SD70M-2’s and will be rostering over 150 ES40DC’s…CSX has been ordering a mix of both AC and DC versions of GEVOS and SD70M-2/ACe’s…it appears for now that the 4000-4300HP 6 axle locomotive is a comfortable threshold for railroads…I imagine that as long as railroads are able to rebuild older 4 axle locomotives to suit their needs, 6 axle power will be the predominant version produced. Im no railroader, but I do Trainsim. AC, or DC… I have to go with AC although with heavy loads at N8 startup, it slips but startup slowly and youre fine. (Pluss thats what sanders are for! :^
