Gevo's going down the tubes

Two CSX Gevo’s on the K277 yesterday (2/6) developed problems…
5261 went down first and was completely inoperable, and 5207 developed cab signal problems shortly afterwards

Hmmmm, I’ve ridden on those ES44DC’s on several runs and have never encountered any problems with them. Of course with anything new, there will always be the customary bugs to work out. Besides these problems you’ve heard of, I have found them to be excellent locomotives from my own expiriences.

wow mikey
csx has been taking alot of them over to bnsf and up lately
stay safe
joe

They run pretty good to me. UP is useing them now in Coal service.

They must be working pretty well BNSF is sending them solo on bare tables and empty auto racks through Toluca recently I have seen 6 such trains with just one engine on the point. All of them were the GEVO.

On BNSF I have seen them on just about everything.

GEVO’s problems will cause GE to sink to #2…EMD SHALL RISE AGAIN!

RISE OF THE SD70ACE.

yeesh! finally!

i’m so sick of GE diesels and their pollutions problems. until GE can make a locomotive that doesnt spew smoke when it’s idling, i’ll remain an EMD purist

Mr Atmo, they have: its called GEVO. Seen them through the high desert in West Texas. No Smoke.

Personally I like when GE’s smoke like crazy…I could care less about pollution problems.

Personally I would rather have the clean air. Get rid of the smoke! Save the planet for your children!

Then get out of your SUV and WALK. It’s better for you and it’s better for the environment. Anybody driving in any vehicle is putting out more pollution for the work accomplished than the worst locomotive, unless it is runninng engine light.

EMD on the rise…[;)]
