Ghost Tracks

This is pretty eerie. This is the first time I’ve come across this:

Nor’easter uncovers ‘ghost tracks’ on New Jersey beach

It’s so fascinating to think of all the things that are buried underneath the ocean.

“Weird New Jersey” magazine scooped 'em on this story a few issues back!

It is amazing though how the New Jersey coastline has altered over the centuries from the actions of wind, surf, and tide. There’s probably a lot more surprises in store.

Any of the sandy shorelines on the east coast are changing, of course. Recall that the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse had to be moved a few years ago.

Global warming and glaicer melt are raising sea levels. Imagine what will be found in 100 - 200 - 500 - 1000 years!
