Gil Freitag´s Stone Creek & Western RR

I´m new in this forum.

I want know the past Model Railroader Magazzine numbers or special editions, containning all the Gil freitag´s SC & W RR reviews, to buy them, or any other information on the web about this amazing RR, that inspire me to build my own model railroad layout.

I get the July 1982 number of MR, with the SC & W RR article and Toluca Station appears in a little B&W picture showing a young Gil Freitag man, looking to Shingle Springs. I specially love this nice part of the layout, aside the river and dam, were several tracks are crossing betwin them at diferent levels.

Sadly I has losted another MR issue, were appears a full color report of the SC & W RR, with nice big pictures and Shingle Springs with great charm and beautyful details and the high stone arched bridge in the fore ground, on the remodeled layout.

Allen keller only offers his Great Model Railroads vol 13 with the SC & W RR in VHS format and my best deal wuold be a digital or DVD edition.

¿Somebody could help me?

The Stony Creek and Western was featured in the 1994 edition of Great Model Railroads (I just happen to be re-reading it). By the way, Stony is the correct spelling as explained in the article, Gil was short an ‘E’ while decaling his first model.

Also try Youtube there are many model railroad videos available.

Thanks you very mach. This is all I need.

Yes! This 1994 edition of GMR is my losted issue were the “Stony” Creek & Western make mefall in love with. I think. I´ll try to get it from Model Railroader.

Thanks you.

I can not found in youtube the SC & W RR until now. I"llcontinue looking for.

There was also a good article in the March 1987 NMRA Bulletin.

The Trains.com index also shows a April 1975 article in Railroad Model Craftsman. I am not at home as I type this so I do not know if I own that issue or not.
