What glue do you guys recommend for paper backdrop on masonite or on foamcore? I was thinking of photo mounting spray adhesives…
Chris
I bought a roll of 1" sticky back Velcro that way if I need to remove or change the backdrop I can just peel it away. There’s an outfit in Pittsburgh called Duquesne Graphics that has a line of really neat photo backdrops that I am very happy with.
Don’t have the exact name just now but I’ll go look later…

Chris, I just got done with mine. I used the 3M spray adhesive! worked great.
One thing, after you spray it. Have someone hold the other end of the scene and you position the bottom just where you want it and then slowly lay it down from the bottom up. Came out nice!
DON
THANK YOU Don and Ed.

I tried a spray adhesive on my backdrop and it didn’t stick very well, the corners peeled away.
I ended up using rubber cement to fix the corners.

I use tacky glue…another tip to help highlight the backdrop is to put a piece of black construction paper right behind each building…it makes the building stand out a bit more by casting a shadow for enhancing that “forced prospective” look…chuck
gmpullman: I’m still hoping to hear more about that backdrop company you mentioned. Thanks in advance.
3M Photomount spray, available at Michaels or any other decent craft store. It works GREAT, just spray both surfaces, wait twenty seconds, carefully apply, starting with one edge at slowly pressing the paper onto the board.
Can’t beat the stuff!
