Just received a Piko kit for the hoildays. I want to use this building outside, is the glue that came with the kit good, or is there something better to use? Any help would be appreciated.
UHU, Plast, Greenit or some such…landfill.
I use only Weld-On #16 for acrylics, from TAP Plastics, thickened version.
The other stuff will work for less than a year outdoors.
I also use welding type adhesives - Ambroid ProWeld and Plastruct Bondene and PlasticWeld have worked well for me. If you live in an exceptionally hot and sunny part of the country you may want to reinforce the joints with a bead of silicone caulk.

My experience has been that the glue that comes with the kit lasts about 4 months here in Sunny Sandy Eggo. I have found that “Marine Adhesive” by “Bondo” works very well. On the larger kits, I have reinforced the wall and ceiling joints with “liquid nails construction adhesive”. The stuff I’ve done in this manner has handled the sun now for 3 years.
Thanks for the info on glue’s. Now if i can only get left hand free from the work bench.
Tenax 7R applied liberally.
Thanks for all the ideas on glue for my building. Going to check into the suggestions.
Thanks agian
