Glue that work's, Realy

I have been serching for years to some type of glue that I can use and tolerate the smell. RTV,silacone sealer’s did not do the job nor did crazy glue. So this is what I found at my local Ace Hardware. It’s called E6000.

This is what you can do with it

17 min’s later

completed in 30 min’s

I’ve used this stuff on my Baggage Car, Station, Bridge and 3 buildings and still have some left in the first tube.

You might want to try the UV resistant version for outdoors: the UV-6800

Might be better if the sun can “see” your bonds.

Regards, Greg

Greg, I paint over most of the critical joints.that are exposed., my ace doesn’t carry the large tube’s or the UV6800.

Dave

Dave, this stuff is great! You might find it humorous that the E6000 is popular in the crafting world too. In fact, when I recently went to Wallyworld to buy a tube, I looked in the hardware dept. but finally found it in the crafting section!

Rene: It can also be found in the shoe care end cap (shoe polish) at Wallworld. Seems as though you can glue your tennies back together.

I paid $6.95 at ACE how much was it at wallyworld?

We took this picture 10 hour’s after the building was completed.

As you car see I trust this stuff…

Dave

Dave, I think I paid around $4.00 at Wallyworld. I was expecting to pay more.

Thank’s I found it at a craft store yesturday for the same price but it was a smaller tube then I have.

Dave

Based on your 1st post, the smell is a major concern… But I have to sware by Weld On plastics glues…
I did however try the E6000 to repair a 12" subwoofer once. I called JL Audio, and asked the tech what I should use to re-glue the dust cover back onto the driver, he said to use E6000… Worked like a charm.

2 ounce tube; $2.65 in crafts dept. 2&1/2 ounce; $2.95 hardware, 1&7/8 ounce $2.49 in shoe dept.
