GMA to broadcast from Amtrak

I was wondering how Amtrak was able to cough up the Superliners that I saw on the train, considering how equipment-short they are now. However, perhaps GMA put up the dough to rebuild some Beech Grove bad-orders so the end result is a positive for AMTK.

Why not have the private media establishment (with deep pockets) get some of your cars back online, and get some free publicity on top of it? Smart thinking at AMTK, if that is the case.

First day broadcast came from Ma. I didnt get to watch all of it because of an early Dr. appointment, can someone give me an update?

Where is it going from MA? Is it going over the B&A?

Headed for Buffalo about now. You can see where it is:

I was hoping to find a schedule posted where the GMA Whistle Stop Special will be, when it will arrive, and when it will leave.

You aren’t alone there. I think the NYS times may have come from “inside” somehow.

I’m sure that other railfan sites are also “chasing.” Might get lucky there and get a hint of what’s to come.

It’s in Niagra Falls right now… And I think it was in Boston earlier, although I’m not sure. Looks like it came through Worcester and I missed it…[banghead]

Just east of Erie, PA as I write this, doing 76 mph and headed west.

Looks like they’re tied down in Harpers Ferry on Wednesday night.

The GMA special is tied down in Millville, WV which is on the Shenandoah subdivisiona few miles from Harpers Ferry. I understand it is scheduled to leave Harpers Ferry tomorrow at 9:15 AM , pass Rockville, MD at 10 AM, and arrive in Washington Union Station at 11 AM.
