I’m looking for scale drawings or information regarding the basic dimensions of the snow dozers that GN built in the 1960’s. I know that Overland models built a brass model and was wondering if anyone who had one could provide some measurements for me. I’m planning on building a 1/29th model of the snow dozer and need some basic measurements.
Also does anyone know if MR or MRC published scale drawings for these snow dozers?
You may want to look at Die Cast Metal models, (FIrst Gear, DHS. 3000 toys & etc). for construction equipment in 1/25 and 1/32 scale. They may have something that would make a good starting point.
He’s wanting Rail equipment, not a snow-equipped blldozer. Didn’t these look like Jordan Spreaders with snowplows on them? I know MDC did a 3-n-1 kit for a snow dozer, not protoypical though.
The GN historical society sells back issues of their newsletters. Check their list for issues about snow dozers. They also have added a photo archive to their site. Also there are photos in the Hickcox Color Guide and the Thompson Color Pictorial book 3.
I emailed the GN Historical society and I’m waiting to here back from them. I’m not to concerned about pictures because I have quite a few, but need some general dimenisons in order to create a scaled drawing. The hunt continues.
