GN Glacier Park Green for Steam Locos

I have a brass 1965-era Tenshodo GN S-1 northern that not only is beautiful but ran like a top. Unfortunately, circumsatnces dictated that it had to be stored for a number of years in the original box with the original foam packaging. Over the years the foam broke down and made a total disaster out of a beautiful locomotive, and now it needs to be stripped and repainted. I want to paint it Glacier Park green and have found a few pics of locos painted that way.

Howver, so far I’ve been unable to determine which color green to use. Some pics appear to be close to SRR Sylvan Green, but I think that it’s to bright. Any suggestions as to which color or color mix to use?

I know exactly what you mean. I also collected GN stream for my layout and there sure are differences between the various manufacturers.

I opted for Pollyscale Coach Green

I would also consider the Depot Olive Green as well.

In real life the green varied a lot with age.
