I’m looking for a picture of the 1993 Challenger Imports GN. M2 2-6-8-0 with the modified J2 tender, If anyone here models the GN. and has this engine or knows of someone that does I greatly appreciate a picture of it.
Although i have yet to see one for sale i’m also hoping Challenger imported extra/spare tenders…
I am not that familiar with this engine, but I have four photos of the CIL models, probably you mean the 12-wheel Vanderbuilt tender version. Of this, I have three photos. And yes, CIL did import extra tenders.
But be aware that W&R will release exactly that engine later this year. Probably more versions than CIL.

Thanks for the reply,but i have the M2 with the vanderbilt tender the Modified J2 tender is a 8 wheel flat sided tender with i believe a tilting coal bunker…kinda ugly but would make installation of a Soundtraxx DCC decoder much …much easier… than tearing into the soldered P2 vanderbilt tender.
Hearing that Challenger did in fact import extra tenders is great news as thats what i’m hoping to find. Have a feeling though that most purchased the engine with the vandy tender such as mine.
