Baggage, baggage-dormitory, 60 seat coach, two 46 seat dome coaches, “Ranch Lounge” (lunch counter/diner/lounge), dome coach, 7-5-3-1 sleeper, 6-5-2 sleeper, diner, Fulldome bar-lounge, 6-5-2 sleeper, 7-6-1 sleeper, 6-4-1 sleeper-observation car.

Circa 1966: GN’s Empire Builder consist:
Storage mail, RPO Storage Mail, Storage Mail, Baggage-dormitory, 60 seat coach, dome coach, 48 seat coach, coffee shop - lounge, 48 seat coach, dome coach, 4-7-3-1 sleeper, 6-5-2 sleeper, diner, full-dome bar lounge, 6-5-2 sleeper, 7-6-1 sleeper, 6-4-1 sleeper.

Circa 1970, combined with the Burlington’s Afternoon Zephyr and NP North Coast Ltd east of St. Paul:Baggage-mail, 5 dome coaches, Full dome bar lounge, diner, two 6-5-2 sleepers, a 7-6-1-1 sleeper, coach, two more dome coaches, diner, 24-8 slumbercoach, 4-4-2 dome sleeper, 4-2-4 dome sleeper bar lounge, 8-6-4 sleeper.

It should be noted that this consist is the list of combined consist that ran between Chicago & the Twin Cities over the Burlington Route. West of the Twin Cities, the consists were separate.
