Having lived in Barrie On for 25 years , and enjoyed the rail action on the CNR main line that was through Barrie until a change in Gov!t moved the traffic to the east side of Lake Simcoe.The tracks were lifted as a economy move,And now they are being replaced . If you stand still in Ontario and watch your local train lines disapear, they will be replaced in short order
