I noticed that some threads have from one to five gold-star ratings. I noticed a recent post with five gold stars but no ratings, and no responses the first time I observed it. How does this rating system work? Not too well on cursory examination!
If you look above the original post in a thread, there is a clickable button called “rate”. Forum members can “rate” the “worth” of a thread by give it a rating between 0 - 5 stars:
Thanks, Tom. Doing a little bit of research, very few people use this option, and with threads with star ratings, these might be based on the opinions of only one or two people. Seems to me it is best to ignore them.
