I just heard about the train show in Omaha at the Qwest. I am planning on going. It is only an hour for me to get there so I thought I would have a lot of fun. I am wanting to get a few ideas on what I would like to build for a layout. Is there an Omaha Train Club?? I would be interested to know more about that. I am still not sure what I am going to build at the moment as far as what railroad. I am going to assume that you are looking at building an HO layout. I am wanting N scale. I made that decision about 10 years ago when I bought my first N scale train set.

If you have space to set up two 2’x6’ tops together you should be able to have a good switching layout. Plan it right and it can be part of a larger layout when you get the space.

If you go to the top of this page, to the light gray line, you will see Resources. Click on that, then on Coming Events, then all events, then Nebraska, it lists two shows between now and April. Do the same for Model Railroad Groups, all groups, Nebraska, and there seem to be two groups in Omaha.

Good luck,
