I just watched the video review of Athearns GP15 w/sound. I love the sound of the Gong bell!! I’m wondering though, did any other RR’s use it besides CNW and Frisco? Those are the only ‘gongers’ that I know of.
IIRC, EJ&E may have also used the nose mounted ‘gong’ bell. The Frisco nose mounted a gyralight in the nose of their 2nd generation engines.

DT&I was also a big gong user.
CNW had the engines wired up so that when the bell was turned on, all the bells in the consist went on. This worked fine until the UP takeover, as the wire they used for that did other things on everybody else’s engines.
