Hi all,
My local hobby store is having a bit of difficulty getting Dullcote in from their supplier at the moment, and I’ve got several projects which need it to be finished off. I have seen some posts on this forum before about Dullcote substitutes, but most of these aren’t available here in Australia.
Can anyone reccomend a good substitute product that I can find down under?
Cheers,
Tbdanny
Hi tbdanny
Your not the first Aussie I have heard say I can’t get something shame the Aussie hobby supply game and stores are just plain rubbish[soapbox]
I have waited for some products so long I will never see them as they are no longer produced they went from new product to out of production and I still did not get them and still waiting[:'(].
So where ever possible when the exhange rate is favorable bring what you want from overseas at least you will get it that way[:D].
And to hell with the supliers who just can’t be bothered to get what you want[:(!].
Go to the local art shop and get flat artists varnish oil or acrylic your choice
or go to Bunnings and get a spray can flat varnish.
Don’t restrict yourself to products from the local hobby shop if you do the hobby will cost you a small fortune and you will die before you get any where near having the model railway of your dreams.
