I’ve been researching a few model train merchants online to try to find a few good ones that I can trust and well now I need your opinions. Which websites do you mostly use to purchase stuff from? I “was” looking at www.internettrains.com, but I’ve read that their shipping isn’t really reliable. I’ve also found www.hobbylinc.com and www.discounttrainsonline.com. Both of these two have a decent amount of stuff to choose from, but I really haven’t read anything about them at all. Thank you for reading this and thanks for your opinions/suggestions once again.
I am having a problem with Manhattan Train & Hobby in New York City. I placed an order in November; have not received the order, their phone is always busy and they do not respond to e-mails.
I would strongly suggest 1stplacehobbies.com. They have a very good selection and good shipping. Also, modeltrainstuff.com and standardhobby are very good choices.
Trainworld has some of the greatest prices and they ship fast. Not the greatest selection though, but can’t beat the prices! http://www.trainworld.com/
http://www.modelrailwaypo.com/ is my LHS as well as a very reliable internet supplier - they discount also & will honor any current Walthers sale prices. You can buy over the internet and still support a brick & mortar LHS!![:D]
I have used Hobbylink for almost all of my on-line purchases an have had zero problems. They ship fast, I can make an order on line today and it will be here in a week or less never more than 7 days. I would give them a 100% [tup][tup]. Try them, I don’t think you willbe disappointed. Mike
