Good fortune abounds this week!

Just got some more train money in the mail today!
After it was discovered that some of the counties in Indiana were run by professional thieves also known as politcians, they were forced to give back property tax money which they stole over the last year! So I got well over $200 back!
Now if they can only figure out where all those Billions they leased the Indiana Toll Road out for somewhat disappeared to, maybe things will improve in this state.

All those BILLIONS from the sale of the Toll Road, and they still weren’t satisfied, guess they got on a roll, and yet they say we can’t afford a high speed rail system in Indiana, we CAN’T AFFORD NOT TO!
Well we’ll just stay behind other states in high speed rail technology and development here in the fly-over BEAN PATCH country

What good fortune!!..enjoy your new found wealth. I’ll keep you in my thoughts for an honestly run toll system in your state.

Honestly run toll system in Indiana??? LOL!!!

Rumor has it, that if Hillary doesn’t make Prez next year, they are going to put her and Bill in charge of the Indiana Toll System.

K4.

It sounds like your thieves , oops, sorry, polititians are just about as good as our Provincial thieves, oops, polititians are up here in Ontario, Canada. The Province built a toll road here for Billions with our tax money and then they turned around and sold it off to the highest bidder to help pay down a little of the Provincial Debt. There was supposed to be a stipulation in the sale that tolls would not increase for a certain period of time and then only at certain percentages after that. Somehow the new thieves, sorry, owners, got around that and the next thing you know, the tolls have nearly doubled and the government says that they can do nothing about it. Their book keeping is attrocious and people are being charged when they haven’t even been using the toll road.

On top of that, if you happen to owe the toll road company money (ACCORDING TO THEIR RECORDS), the Province will not renew your licence or your plates.

I personally have not used nor will ever use this toll road as the fees charged for your licence and plates is supposed to be used for building new roads and upkeep on old roads but the Government in its wisdom??? puts all that money into the general coffers and as a result, our roads are in a constant state of POT-HOLEITIS.

On a brighter note, we do have a reasonably good Commute

Ive two words for Indiana. US 20 at 4 am.

Just as fast if not faster than the Toll Road and free too. Just a little bit harder on desiel because of horsepower and braking through the little towns.

Congrats on your windfall.

I suggest you sit on that money and think things through first. Dont go rushing off to the Hobby Shop and throw the money at the first item you see in the doorway =)

Politicians are thieves???[%-)] Don’t insult the thieves like that!!![:-,]

How much you want to bet one of your bills “magically” goes up $200 this winter??[:-^]

Loathar, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!! LOL!
What they’re realy doing is putting $200 in one pocket, but stealing $400 out of another, except they take it out of your backpocket so you don’t see it or feel it!

I know that road well!

Used to travel US 20 every evening from I69 to Swanton Ohio and back, then back down I69 to Ft Wayne with a stop in Auburn.

Was travelling US 20 one night just west of Pioneer Ohio, there’s a set of curves, a diesel tanker had passed me, and I didn’t see he was leaking fuel out of a rear valve. Hit those curves and my semi did a dance that almost put me in the ditch. I stopped and called the Ohio State cops, but before they got there, along came a Ohio county cop, hammer down UNTIL… he hit the curve, he went over 300 feet straight ahead into an alfalfa field, taking out a barbed wire fence on the way!
He was a slight bit irritated!-He had heard the radio call about the tanker and decided he was going to be the hero!! LOL!

I was lucky, my semi slid around but I got it stopped on the edge of the road, scared the B-Jezuus out of me, because it was in July, was just like being on greased ice!!!

The tanker had dropped over a thousand gallons of fuel on the road before they got him stopped!
Took the highway dept all night to clean that mess up, wash down sections of the road and heavily sand them. But the Pioneer Fire Dept came out and washed down my truck to get all the fuel sprayed off of it, and that was all over my tires and brakes.
Used to be a little roadside diner over near Delta Ohio, but I think it’s gone now.

I could make better time running I69 to 20 and back than running US 24 which still is a VERY DANGEROUS road!!!

Just one my little road adventure

Hi loathar,

They got 100 dollars of it back today, when one of the local Bureua of Motor Vehicles charged me $100 to take my fingerprints via an electronic scanner so I can get my CDL license renewd with a hazmat endorsement on it.
Now I have to wait and see if the TSA ( Transportation Security Agency ( spelled FEDS) sends me a letter and detrmines whether I am a patriotic American or a terrorist so I can haul hazmat shipments.

Gee, they let me fly airplanes( I’m also a pilot) , why not let me drive a truck???
