I was looking for good website for ho layouts. I have a layout in progress but not at all happy with it. I wanted some good ideas for my 4 x 8 layout. I am wanting a few mountains and maybe a river. I dont mind switching but I am more into the scenery. I was planning on doing a coal layout. Any ideas will be welcomed.
Get a free layout program. I like XtraCAD.
Find a model of the coal mine you want. Determine how much space it takes. Place a scale representation on your 4 x 8 layout plan. Then try to get track to it. See what works the best. Then post your best idea here to get help.
It’s not really clear what you’re looking for – web sites on tools to design a layout; other people’s layouts; available layout design computer software; or what?
There are many web sites that have links to layouts. For example, the NMRA has a link to club layouts.
