Good Online Shop - shipping to Kuwait

Dear Friends,

Can some one recommend a good online shop for me? My criteria for a good online shop will be based on the following:

• Price.
• Fast Delivery.
• Good Customer Support.
• Friendly Staff.

Looking forward for your commends.

Cheers,

Ajith

Welcome to the board, Ajith .[#welcome]

Here are two of my favorites: www.discounthobbywarehouse.net
and www.caboosehobbies.com

For HO scale only: http://www.cchobbies.com

I’ve had good luck with all of these:

www.discounttrainsonline.com
www.trainworld.com
www.modeltrainstuff.com
www.modelrailwaypo.com

Of course, you’re not in the US of A, so you should certainly ask them about their overseas shipping.

Something you might want to do is change the title of your post, maybe:

Good Online Shop - shipping to Kuwait

That will catch the attention of people who might be better informed that I am about any problems with shipping you might run into.

http://www.wholesaletrains.com/ is what I use mainly for their prices. Delivery usually takes a week and customer support is okay.

Ajith,

Of those already mentioned, I’d like to add following:

General supplies: Locomotives

M.B. Klein
http://www.modeltrainstuff.com

Limited and/or DCC supplies:

Empire Northern Models
http://www.empirenorthernmodels.com

Litchfield Station
http://www.litchfieldstation.com

Tony’s Train Xchange
http://www.tonystrains.com

I’d also encourage you to help support a good LHS (local hobby shop) in your area. I buy online but I spend about 80-85% of my hobby money at my LHS.

Here is one that I like a lot and relatively unknown. Train Buddy. The shop is in Wake Forest, NC and Kim Parker is very knowledgeable, helpful and has great service. He has a lot of HO and N scale stuff in stock and has access to many major suppliers.

I placed a rather large order for 180 pieces of code 83 Atlas flex track and 58 various turnouts and all but 3 wye switches were ready for pickup within a week.
The three wye turnouts are on back order, they are Walther’s brand turnouts expected to be available in mid August.

Check out their website: http://www.trainbuddy.com

Gotta add Toy Train Heaven to the list… www.toytrainheaven.com great prices and the fastest shipment I’ve seen.

I purchase almost all my MR stuff online. The following is a list of the ones I like the best:

http://www.wholesaletrains.com/Default.htm http://www.discounttrainsonline.com/ http://www.trainsetsonly.com/ http://www.traintrack.net/ http://www.internethobbies.com/index.html http://www.tonystrains.com/ http://www.firsthobby.com/store1/default.asp http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/Wholesale trains seems to have the best prices but sometimes they don’t always have what I want in stock so I go to one of the otheres.

One place to stay away from ishttp://www.internettrains.com/merchant2/I have only had problems from them.

Bill

If you are in N scale www.nscalesupply.com
