Good places online for Fastrack?

Hey all,

It’s been a while since I’ve been here. My trains had to come down when my wife and moved at the end of July and then we were on vacation in The Bahamas. Well, now that the weather is cooling off the bug to set my trains back up has hit me. Not to mention we have a lot more room now. I had previously been running the ol’ traditional 3 rail but now want to convert to Fastrack. Are there any good places online to buy Fastrack in bulk? Or is it only available in the figure 8, expansion pack, ect.? My local hobby shops only sell it by the piece, or the packs and was just wondering if there are bundles that are sold for a little bit less that piece by piece.

when I was in there last year they said they could get me what ever quantities of track I needed. http://www.islandtrains.com/

Lee,
Sent you an email. Let me know if you are interested.

They are currently “sold out” on just about everything I’m ordering now.

Try Wholesale Trains.

Wholesale is kinda’ of a tricky name… & it’s not too far a drive from me either(close enough to be a “LHS”). But their prices aren’t near wholesale, actually higher that most of my regulars, & then I get charged sales tax on top of that.

I’ve found www.trainexpress.com in Indy to be reasonable in price and fast in delivery.

I wonder if you will get a lower price at Wholesale trains (Lantz Hobby Shop correct?) if you mailorder in the track. In other words…it may be worth a check on the prices on their interenet site (even if said site is a tad inconvenient to use).

Another option is to check the adds in CTT magazine (sponsor of this forum) for a good mail order house. If I recall correctly, all their large advertisors are pretty good on delivery although prices vary from add to add.
