Good subject for a kitbash

This prototype locomotive would be a good subject for a kitbash and another project for Vsmith.

The aluminum top of the stack is a cover to prevent precipitation from falling into the exhaust system. Photograph was taken at the McLean sawmill site on Vancouver Island, BC.

Neat photo! Any chance you could post the photo in a larger size for better viewing?

Thanks!

Sorry, that’s it. Did you try clicking on the photo?

The caretakers sent me the following info on this locomotive:

Manufacturer: Westminister Iron Works

Built: 1927 (purchased 1928)

Power: 6 cylinder Buda, with an American clutch

Use: moving logs and lumber @ McLean Mill

Yeah, it’s still not big enough to see any real detail. I’ve been looking for a critter type project for a NWSL truck drive I have. Any more critter photos out there?

Try a web search for 25 to 40 ton locos. Also try 25 to 30 ton Plymouth locos.

I cropped the photo so the object of interest is larger.

Thanks, that helped!

Sure are![;)]

This list has a critter section along with a bunch of other narrow gauge goodies…
