Good to have guys on here with answers. Thanks to Bob Nelson [when you have electrical issues, call Bob]

Got some issues with a PW ZW. Nothing hard but scratched my head and still could not figure it out. Contacted Bob, and he had the answers [haven’t tested them out yet but I will bet he is right]. If so, easy fix. Thanks Bob.

Chief, It is great to have Bob around, he has helped me with several issues. He, you, and several others really make this a place to find answers.

Dennis

I’m sure he will be right on too !! He really knows his onions, as my Dad used to say !! Plus, Chief, remember what Bob once said about building benchwork. He said to make sure the legs go all the way to the floor !! [:D][:D][:D]

Thanks, John

John, Chiefie can’t get off the floor, let alone build legs to it. You need a bench to start with.

Talk about pressure! Let’s see if we can get it to work, Frank…

well seein’ as how you dragged me into it . . .

how’s that benchwork comin’ Chief?

Thanks for the help, Bob. I sold the Chief that ZW, so I feel badly about this problem he’s having. Chief, it could be worse. It could still be MY ZW. Jim

ouch that was cold.

funny, but cold. [:D]

Frank, If you think that’s cold, you ought to meet my wife! Just kidding . . . Jim

Jim, I hope your wife doesn’t read the forum or you may learn the true definition of cold.

You guys led me astray.

Chief, How’s the benchwork coming [?] [swg]

Bob is great. I have dedicated a switch area to him! (He’s helped me puzzle out all sorts of things electrical through the forum.)

John, Calling my wife cold has been a joke between her and I for years, based on how easily she can make tough decisions. She’s actually one of the four best things ever to happen to me, along with my three kids. Jim

Here’s to Bob, the “go-to guy”

I have a specail email address for the hospital. [:O][}:)][:P][;)] [this is why he will not buy a home computer, she will check up on him]

This is getting downright embarassing.

To help remove Bob’s blushing, there are a lot of other helpful folks as well, like Roy, Tom, and so on (I don’t want to make a list b/c I’d be sure to leave someone out.

Bob and a couple others are especially helpful b/c IMO electronics is the most daunting part of the hobby for most, myself included. But he enjoys that sort of things and it’s in his line of work as well.

Hope you feel better now, Bob.

Fixed The REBS will overcome the Yank tricks with their ZW’s. [:D] Bob, you were right. The breaker was Stuck open. Took needle nosed pliers and bent it to touch. Works fine now. Also disconnected the whistle diodes. Don’t know if that had anything to do with it. I’ll call and tell you what it read, when. Will replace breaker with automotive type tomorrow [Advance right down the street in Roseyville and Auto Zone building too [:O]] Thanks

Well, that’s a relief!

15 amperes, automatic-resetting, Frank.

This is the PW ZW , that I found in the trash and rebuilt.

Works great.
