Oklahoma Train Nut:

Don’t know where you live in Oklahoma, but you should know that Oklahoma City is on BNSF’s main Kansas City to Fort Worth. I live in Moore, just two miles east of the line, and I cross the tracks many times a week. At 4th Street, the line is double tracked because of a passing siding. The dispatcher likes to use this siding for meets and I’ve been held up here many times for meets. With all of that said, I would not recommend Oklahoma City as a place to go to watch trains. There are trains going through, that’s true, but not really in great numbers. Let me add about the 4th street crossing - I can go over that crossing for days and never see a train. Do what you like, but there has to be better places to sit and watch trains than Oklahoma City.
