Hello,
My son (who is 3) is absolutely crazy about trains. And not just Thomas, but all kinds of trains. He is starting to identify different types of trains. He loves watching trains go by, riding on trains and looking at books and videos of trains. We even had his birthday party on a steam train. (Neat!)
Can any train enthusiasts recommend some web sites with great pictures, video clips or any other activities my son might enjoy?
Many thanks!
To help the identifying thing, you can teach him how to use railpictures.net
I don’t really know of any, but the Library and Archives of Canada has Trains site for kids, @ http://www.koin.com/news.asp?RECORD_KEY[news]=ID&ID[news]=231

Search for American Association of Railroads. This org has a train club which, if you click on the feature, will notify you monthly of its new newsletter which is written so that it will be of interest to children. In the back of Trains mag and Model Railroader, there will be small ads for the many museums which have trains. They’ll all have web sites that you could go on for all sorts of information about trains.
