My fingers are crazy glued to my new loco!

This happens to me all the time. I can not use crazy glue. I have lost countless layers of skin thanks to crazy glue.

I voted that Elmer’s Glue tastes good [:D] I tried CA but…

I agree, Elmers glue tastes great.[:P][:-,][oX)][(-D] I said my hands are glued to the key board. Seriously! That’s the last time I try to super glue that trailing truck of my Big Boy kit together…

LOL[:D]

ok i voted for no clue becuase well i have no clue

Heck that’s nothing try it in your eye then explaining it to the Doctor! And I was even wearing glasses at the time. There’s a leason here somewhere

Correct me if I’m wrong Bergie, but it is an administrator’s tool that holds an item at the top of the front page regardless of the level of response.[:D]

By the way, if you had said [sticky], it probably wouldn’t have worked because it would have showed up blue, and the administrator’s shows up in red.

[:)]We are actually lucky that Bergie let’s us do polls, because Trains, CTT, Garden, and Classic don’t have that function available at all, just MR.

So was that your eye lids or glasses to nose [:D]

HA…HA…HA…

Actually it was a three pointer over the rim and smack dab centre. I was using one of those extension tubes at the end of the spout of CA and it flicked. According to the Doctor CA cures on contact with the water in your eye, unfortunately this releases a lot of heat resulting in a burn to the eye. Hurts like HE double hockey sticks!

This is probably why I tend to use Gel CA - not so lively! Mind you, in some situations - like fixing handrail stanchions on Athearn locos - a drop of liquid CA is best - disappears inside the handrail-stanchion joint and fixes them firmly vertical.

Getting dried CA off fingers is a real pain. Figuring out how to remove small fragile parts from your fingers, where they have happily stuck with CA, is even trickier. I think I may finally have managed to build (ok, fit handrails to) a loco without getting CA over anything else…

And what’s even more fun is when you discover, as I did last week, that you’ve fitted the handrails to the wrong ends on a loco - thought my Athearn AC4400 looked different to my Dash 9s, then realised that I’d got the front handrail on the back, and vice-versa. Luckily they came off without much damage - a bit of repainting needed but nothing else.

CA is like nuclear fuel. It’s very useful but you wouldn’t want to get it on your hands!

What a waste of time and bandwidth!

FundyNorthern, Thanks for your comments!

I agree with FundyNorthern! This type of poll has no business being in these Forum!!

I allready tried that, [sticky] did not work
and once a docter used medicinal CA to glue a cut in my forehead so that it would leave no scar, and it worked , still as ugly as I used to be !

Its a good thing that [sticky] doesn’t work for the members, because it would be a disaster if it did. Once people figured it out everyone would use it and topics would never move. We can’t edit topics, and Bergie would have to take them all down.

Deschane, this is a cute and funny topic, and I like it. I was just being a little too serious about the meaning of [sticky] as it applies to the forum. I think its clear that most members don’t have any idea what [sticky] means, or how it works. If members were allowed access to that command, and we know that they aren’t because Lupo tried and failed, chaos would ensue.[;)]

I actually goofed on this posting originally, becuse I had accidentally inserted the new message inside the old quote, making it look like I wasn’t saying anything new. Sorry for the confusion.[:I]

Oh now I get it! Wow good one

Can we now get to having some fun!! Lighten up please or I’ll send you some of my snow!

You tell em Mark, by the way nice poll
