Not too much of a trackplan- just a grainy photo of the Parallax-distorted actual layout. Is there a real Track plan somewhere?
This “plan” looks very much like one of Scenics pre-designed layouts. Also I agree with Cyrus’ comment, ‘where’s the beef’?
Agree with both Cyrus and Fred. Isn’t there a trackplan?
is this really the best…
wheres the plan all i found was a picture of a layout
ntrack plan where is it ?
what is the plan?
I agree with all of these comments. I would like to see an actual plan.
I can only agree - the photo seems poor. A track plan would be great. Was there one in the original article?
wayne was right where,s the plan?
Track plans, really ? Pictures at best with no tech data at all. Better off just spending the time on Xtrkcad than waste it here.
I have to agree with everyone. Where’s the plan?
This is NOT what I think any self-respecting model railroader would think of (at all!) when the phrase “track plan” is used. A photo is NOT a track plan, MR!!
Nice photo, but where is the stats?
John Allen’s legendary HO scale Gorre & Daphetid was such a fabulous and well-known layout that I guess they forgot that it’s been forty years now since it was lost in a fire and there are whole generations of model railroaders who don’t know about it. Anyway, it all started in 1948 with a humble 3’7" by 6’8" HO layout. This one is an N-Scale mirror image of that first one.
Here is a link to John Allen’s original GD plan:

I sure wish the magazine would read these notes. Research has told me a n gauge plan exists
