Got it today in Taxus. Good issue as usual.
yeah CTT is always good. I wish OGR could get their act together. Too many ads.
Well, the rain let-up (it may be headed your way, Chief). No CTT in the mailbox. [:(] I guess I’ll have to wait 'til Monday. [:(] [:(]
I have been thinking about moving to Texas. TAXus. I didn’t think you all had any state income tax. What gives??
Good issue, but it’s a wonder I got it or the last one…address label hanging-on “by a thread”…thanks to 2 tiny stripes of easy-to peel glue. Joe
I’m still waiting for mine. Hopefully it will come tomorrow.
Locomotion, welcome to the forums!
YES,…LOCOMOTION…Welcome to the Forum.
For the record, the glue on my CTT address label was bad too.
Almost fell off.
Chuck
Okie,
8.125% sales tax, skyrocketing property/school taxes (and local schools are budget cutting under Robin Hood plan), and possibly implementing a tax on all professional services (i.e. your doctor, CPA, etc.). School systems in chaos.
I got mine yesterday AND my new Lionel 2005 Vol. 2 catalog today! Plenty of good reading these days.
I still have not recieved mine yet, i am angry[:(!][:(!]
Tmcc man: I hope your label didn’t fall off, mine was about to, & others said theirs was coming off, too. Hope you get it soon, if not, you may have to get a hold of them. Thanks, John
John,
i am going to wait 2 more days, because i am also expecting my Garden Railways Magazine to come as well. I looked in the mailbox today and the only thing in there was my Car and Driver. The good thing was that my favorite car was on the cover. The Legendary Corvette Z06. It is bright yellow. I could go on and on about the specs, but that would be toooo long.
tmcc, don’t worry. I had one lost last year. As soon as I notified them, another one was in the mail. Great folks.
I still haven’t gotten the last issue. Get the Post Office isn’t all that focused on forwarding once you move. Rats.
Would you believe it but I recieved CTT on the 26th [:O] along with OGR, thats great service being over here in the UK. [:)][wow] However the OGR is often very late which puzzles me as CTT is always on time and in perfect condition. I particularly liked the article on the “Hardboard Hoboken” [tup] as I’m looking to build a station building to go with my Ace Trains station canopy.
Yep, I had the same experience, and they sent me a backissue of the lost number too.
Mine arrived today, adress label is in the “plastic bag” which is around the magazine.
I guess that’s because I’m overseas and as a result of that my magazines are always clean and in very good shape when they arrive.
Glad to see the UK posting. Daan, that is good mailing. You probably get better postal service than the USPS here. I do not think ability to read is a requirement. [;)] Got an envelope in my mail box the other day that was for another person [name was not even close to mine], another address and another town. Then only thing that was even close to my address was the house number [not the street]. [:D] Think of the number of steps it went through to be delivered to the wrong address.
Don’t those Ace trains look great, wizard? Too bad they are so expensive over here. I guess taxes/quality of life are all relative - here in Chicago, you have 10% sales tax, a state income tax AND high property taxes…and still chaotic schools, crumbling infrastructure, few jobs, etc.
Daniel, I LIKE the ads in CTT and OGR -
perusing them for me is one of the best parts of the magazines. In fact, I wish - and CTT probably agrees - there were more ads in CTT…
Hey, speak for yourself. Some people think Chicago is great, including me![:(!]
well, i still have not recieved my CTT yet, and i am really upset because i need something new to read.
