Got my CTT today!

Just arrived here at 130 this afternoon. Didn’t get a chance to read it yet.

Got mine today as well. Like Laz I too have not had a chance to open and peruse the contents there in. Nope not me… I had a drug test after work, then had to stop and pickup parts for the bimmer and make appt to have the A/C diagnosed, then when I got home some one called and gave me my ‘to-do-list’ for the evening… had to patch my foothole in the ceiling and patch the hole in the wall where the electrical switches used to be, even got the new hood roundel installed on the bimmer! Not bad for 3.5 hrs since I left work.

Still waiting on mine…HURRY UP!!!..PLEASE!!![banghead][:D][:D]

Got mine yesterday. Looks good at a glance. I met Carl Ulrich at a local hobby shop years ago. He claimed it was an addiction. One comment, IMO the first place and third place layout contest winners should be reversed. Anyone else see it this way?

Just checked yesterday’s mail that I picked up from box late last night [wife will not walk to box to get mail unless I am out of town [banghead]]. No CTT. American Rifleman [NRA], wife’s Martha Stewart Living and Southern Living came. Don’t think they count.

You won’t believe it! The Deadwood Stage pulled in yesterday, I checked the box, and there it was, CTT! It was a toy train miracle!

GMT. Haven’t had a chance to do a thorough read-through yet, but I did do a quick perusal and spied some prewar tinplate. This is always a good thing. [:D]

I got mine yesterday. Excellent review on the Lionel UP FEF-3, although there were quite a few problems with terminology. (“Markers” are hung on the back of a train, “Classification Lights” hang on the front for instance.)

The same problem is evident in the MPC B&O set article. The cars are referred to as “Madison” cars. They are actually “Baby Madison” cars according to Lionel. So-called “Madison” cars should actually be called “Irvington” cars, and are a couple of inches longer than “Baby Madison” cars.

The term “Madison CarS” was first introduced by Williams when they made repros of the Lionel “Irvington Cars” in the early 1970’s.

We still use the postwar Lionel terminology (i.e. markers, switches, etc.), which may change someday.

Bob,

I wasn’t trying to nit-pick. Actually I found this issue fabulous from both a content and layout perspective. The layout is clean and easy to follow. And regarding the article on the B&O Capitol Limited (Capital?!), I’d love to see more and more articles on MPC-era gear!

The reviews of Post War diesels were great too.

Kudos! Or as the kids say now: yo, props to the homey!

I didn’t think you were - this question comes up quite a bit, though.

Thanks for the kind comments!

7/23 Nope

RT- first & second class is forwarded for one year. Third class goes in the recycle bin.

My favorite article was Trophys and Turkeys column. And that fact that a 1666 was featured like mine.

Nope. Two more magazines and a BPS catalog. Bet it is sitting in the PO. Will get delivered when all the rest of the magazines are delivered.

Woohoo!

Received my copy out on the west coast today!

Buckeye - Looks like the P.O. FINALLY got your memo. [;)]
