Governor signs funding extension for Honolulu rail transit
It’s hard to imagine a politician in 2015 making a speech like JFK’s “We choose to go to the Moon”. Instead, it would be full of platitudes about accountability, cost over-runs, and protecting the taxpayer.
…which I guess probably means we’d never go to the moon.
So the Governor signed the bill first, then asked to see the “project” details. If he was so concerned about cost overruns, then why didn’t he insist on seeing the reports and conduct an audit first - before approving any more taxpayer monies.
