What is the smallest radius a USA trains gp30 or a aristocraft U25-B can take? is there a diesel like that that will take a 4-foot dia. curve?
Hi, It`s not always a good thing to have tight curves, as you can not run at a realistic speed I find LGB radius 3 gives a good running for al sorts of locos up to 2-8-0 4-8-0 Hope this helps
All my locos will run at a decent speed on on R3 curves but i would rather not have them as they can make bigger rolling stock and locos look pretty strange.

How does having a R3 curve make a diesel look odd??? R3 curves are great for diesels and they look just at home with that radius curve.
Gp30 will go round 2ft radius LGB R1, but they aren’t very happy on it and you need to use loop couplers as the knuckle couplers tend to throw cars off the track. I’d recommend R3 as they look much better.
