GP38 vs gp38-2

Can anyone tell me if I was to purchase an Athearn GP38-2 besides filling in the water sight glass and changing the trucks to Blomberg type B trucks what other modifications would need to be made to backdate to a GP38?

There are several items:

  • The radiators on the GP38-2 are shorter, and the two fans are closer together.

  • The cab roof has the drip taper at the rear

  • The battery box covers are different

  • The D/B grids are different

At least the wheelbase is the same…
