I’d say its TOO clean! Coal dust, tunnels and infrequent trips to the wash rack made for some scruffy power. Excellent job, well done.

It depends on how far you want to go with the detailing. A loco after fifteen years of work and scrubbing would probably be begging for a paint job. In other words there would have to be some paint wear cause by the sun or some stripping in various areas on the body and also some rust getting in the mix in the stripped areas.
I’m about to get crazy on one of my older Geep. I just might send you some photos for critiquing. I’m still studying some video footage of an some very old bauxite locos that frequents my neighbourhood here in Jamaica. Sorry I can’t tell what they are my guess is something from Fairbanks Morse (not sure). Later.
Maybe some heavier weathering around the radiator screens and dynamic braking grills. Also you might want to filth up the fuel tank alot more. Excellent job.
