Saturday evening a grain elevator in Atchison, KS exploded, killing 6 people. Looks like this elevator is served by a railroad too, which my guess is BNSF?

As of this morning (Monday 10/31/2011) three more bodies of persons listed as missing, brings the toll to 6 people killed and 2 in hospitals. There were approximately 12 workers at the Bartlett Grain Elevator when the explosion ripped apart the 'Head House structure, and upper works area of the grain storage bins.

Likely a dust explosion.
It doesn’t take much, and obviously can have devestating results.
‘Dust’ Explosions - especially with grain handling facilities are not totally rare occurences.
Next to “encasement” or drowning in flowing grain, explosions are the leading cause of death at grain elevators in the US.
Do a Bing or Goggle search on grain elevator accidents and you will find they are pretty dangerous places to work.
