It’s good that the Biegert’s are going to be picky about who they sell to. The whole operation is first class, Iv’e ridden the train 2 times and interviewed for a job on the GCRW. The rail equipment is kept in great shape and their are many classes of sevice to chose from on one train. Also the town of Williams is on part of old Route 66.
Iv’e ridden many tourist trains in the U.S. and the Grand Canyon Railway is First Class right there with the Strasburg Railroad.
Interesting! I hope they get someone good to take care of it. Be fun to see who takes over.

WHAT!???
I know!! That’s kind of what I thought when I saw this. What do think might happen?

It’s going to take someone with the same passion as the Biegert’s to make it work. I wish whoever buys it the best.
Have seen and rode the operation on two occasions and have nothing but praise for the way it has been run.
I wonder if the buyers will be the same people who want to buy 6 of your major seaports?

They’re the ones with the money.
Amtrak?
Oh,
I sure hope its not Amtrak. If they bought it then the line will probably be abandoned again.
Whoever gets it shoud be hand picked by the current owners. I rode the GCR last Summer in July behind Mikado 4960.
That engine is a fine piece of work. Whoever worked on what was dubbed the “Biggest Steam Resoration Project in America” did a fine job.
