My family will use Amtrak to get to Norfolk,VA from Pittsburgh, PA. More trains means more convenient connections. And less I95, etc.

I’ve driven I-95 all the way up and down the East Coast, and getting through DC and northern VA is the most congested stretch of it. This stretch of highway mirrors the same kind of congestion along the Santa Monica I-10 freeway in Los Angeles.

is there a convenient connection to ‘the Tide’ light rail service?
does the Amtrak bus from the Newport News train make this the Norfolk stop?
