The Athearn Engine is a “foobie”, as the original poster requested the Bi-Centennial GT engine was a GP38AC not a GP38-2 as advertised by Athearn. The best choice for an engine would be an undecorated Atlas GP38 and the decal was once available from Herald King, but have been discontinued since the 1980’s. You might try contacting the current owner of Herald King to see if there is any chance of them re-running the decals. Also "Google’ Herald King Decals and you will find a number of people who deal in old Herald King decals they also could help.

Even if the the engine was correct that Athearn did, they are missing the snow shields over the engine air intakes.

I was at a regional convention in Michigan and the GT parked the engine near the convention site. I have a lot of pictures of all angles of this loco. If I can find the slides, I will scan them and send them to you.
